St. Philopateer Scouts

'Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.'
Matthew 5:19
St. Philopateer Scouts, established in 2015, is a church scouting team that helps children live out the teachings of Christ. Through weekly meetings, fun days, camps, and retreats, we engage kids in activities that teach virtues and foster a Christ-centered way of life.
Our program focuses on the 12 scout laws:
-
Trustworthiness
-
Loyalty
-
Helpfulness
-
Friendliness
-
Courteousness
-
Kindness
-
Obedience
-
Cheerfulness
-
Thriftiness
-
Bravery
-
Cleanliness
-
Reverence

Our goal is to instill commitment, teamwork, and communication skills in children, preparing them for service at a young age and leadership roles as they grow. We welcome kids from Grades 3 to 8, with Grade 8 members transitioning into servant or leader roles. We offer a condensed course for youth in Grade 10 and above who wish to join the program.

Meetings are held Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM during the summer, and every other Saturday during the school year.
Registration opens at the end of June, though exceptions may apply.
