LEAF Camps

Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• Pre-care: 8:00–9:00 AM

• Camp: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Post-care: 4:00–5:00 PM

Late pick-up will result in a fee of $1 for every minute past the scheduled time. Please pick up your child on time.

What should my child bring to camp each day?

Please label the backpack and all belongings with the camper’s name.

• Backpack

• Lunch and a lot of healthy snacks

• Refillable water bottle

• Indoor Shoes

• Sunglasses and hat

• A change of clothes

• Sunscreen (Please apply sunscreen before camp and send labeled sunscreen with your child for reapplication.)

• Bugs Spray

• Any required medication (with forms completed in advance)

What food is allowed at camp?

Send Nut-free lunch and snacks, The lunch that doesn't need heating or refrigeration. No food sharing is allowed due to allergies and health guidelines.

My child has allergies or medication needs. How is that handled?

Please inform us in advance. A medication form is required. Staff are trained to handle allergies and health needs.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable clothing for active play. Arts and cooking activities may get messy. For liturgy days, modest attire is required: no shorts, sleeveless tops, or short clothing.

What happens on rainy days?

Indoor activities are planned. Children should still come prepared for outdoor play unless weather is unsafe.

Are electronic devices allowed?

No. All electronics and toys should stay at home to prevent distractions and losses.

How do you handle behavior issues?

We use a positive guidance approach. For serious/repeated issues, parents will be contacted. In rare cases, removal from the program may occur.

How will I receive updates about my child or the camp?

Updates may come via email, paper notes, or in-person check-ins. Please ensure we have your most current contact info.

Are there any religious activities?

Yes. We include age-appropriate Christian activities: Bible lessons, daily prayers, weekly liturgies, and value-based discussions.

It depends on age and group size, but we’ll try to accommodate requests when possible.

Yes. Please label all belongings. Unclaimed items will be donated after camp ends.

All staff are trained in child safety, behavior guidance, first aid/CPR, and camp programming.

What are the special weekly events?

• Monday: Art workshop

• Tuesday: Food workshop

• Wednesday: STEAM workshop

• Thursday: Field trip

• Friday: Liturgy and Carnival Day

What is the attendance policy if my child is sick?

If your child is sick, please keep them at home to rest and recover. Let us know as soon as possible if they’ll be absent. By phone number (will be revealed to register people only) or email to LEAF@stmarystmark.ca

Sick Policy

Children are to stay home if they have any of the following symptoms. If symptoms develop while attending the camp, parents will be called to pick up their child.

• fever over 38°C (in the past 24 hours)

• vomiting or diarrhea (in the past 24 hours)

• cough

• sore throat

• undiagnosed rash

• persistent scratching of body or head

• pink eye

Yes. If your child requires a 1:1 aide at school, you must provide one for camp. Contact us in advance to coordinate support plan

• Full refund: Cancel at least 2 weeks before camp week begins.

• 50% refund: Cancel 1 week before start.

• No refund: Cancellations less than 1 week before or missed days.

• Medical exception: With a doctor's note, a partial refund or credit may be granted at the director's discretion.

• Switching weeks is allowed if space is available (1 week notice required).

• All cancellations must be sent in writing via email: Leaf@stmarystmark.ca

We plan to share photos with parents throughout the summer! Instructions to view photos will be emailed to parents of children registered.
